Here at A:shiwi Tribal College and Career Readiness Center, we offer our students a comprehensive learning environment, filled with academic support, and educational services. Ever since we got our start in 2018 A:shiwi Tribal College has been instilling knowledge in students from all over. Our faculty will go the extra mile to give our students the tools needed to grow and succeed. At A:shiwi College we believe that our campus is an important part of the Zuni community. We strive for excellence by offering an engaging curriculum as well as numerous outreach opportunities. 

Dr. Reynelle Lowsayatee has been an Early Childhood Educator with a bilingual endorsement for 20 years with ZPSD. She is currently the Director of Instruction and Applied Indigenous Studies.  Reynelle's passion is teaching all age groups and validating the Shiwi language and culture.

Belinda Tsabetsaye has been an Early Childhood Educator and Title III/Bilingual Programs Coordinator for thirty plus years with the Zuni Public School District. She received her Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education and a Master’s degree in Early Childhood Multicultural Education with a TESOL endorsement from the University of New Mexico. Belinda is licensed through NM Public Education Department with a 520 Native Language and Culture Certification. She is also certified as a Developmental Specialist II with the Children, Youth, and Families Department. She is currently the Coordinator for the Zuni Language Program and an adjunct professor at A:shiwi College and Career Readiness Center.

Dr. Reynelle Lowsayatee Teaching

Bobbie Shack has been an educator for 15 years.  She has her Bachelor's of Arts in English from the University of Utah, a Master's of Arts Degree in Interdisciplinary Studies and a graduate certificate for Secondary Education from Western New Mexico University, and is licensed through NM Public Education Department as a Level III Instructional Coach with

endorsements in Language Arts, TESOL, and Gifted Education.  When she's not busy working, she enjoys spending time with her children and family and attempting to improve her green thumb by tending to her small vegetable garden.

Tribhuban Choudhary (Trib), has been an Adjunct Faculty for last 30 years. He has been teaching Math, Stat and Economics at the Navajo Technical University; at the University of New Mexico, Gallup Branch; and at the Dine College Window Rock Center. Before moving to the United States Trib was Head Master (Principal) of a High School in Nepal. In the United States Trib was employed as a Principal Economic Development Specialist with the Division of Economic Development of the Navajo Nation where he prepared a number of documents based upon research works many of which can be made available by googling Trib Choudhary. Trib has a Master's Degree in Economics and Planning from the University of Oregon, Eugene, Oregon and another Master's Degree from the Patrice Lumumba Peoples' Friendship University, Moscow, then USSR. A couple of years ago, Trib was selected as Teacher of the Month by the Gallup Sun.

Teaching at Ashiwi Tribal College

Gilbert Kallestewa Jr. serves as the primary instructor to all things computer-related. His educational credentials and technical expertise has allowed students to gain an understanding of computer technology at a foundational level as well as coursework specific to Information Technology and Business Communication Information Systems.

Vanessa Sandoval serves as a counselor at ZHS. She is completing her second master’s degree in counseling at Creighton University.

Dr. Dino is a science and math instructor at the Middle College in Gallup NM.  

​

Rebecca Quam is the fitness instructor at the Zuni Wellness Center and is providing fitness classes for our students.
